1. About Us
These terms govern your use of the iLUMINAIRE website (iluminaire.co.uk) and any purchase you make through it. We are Iluminaire Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. You can contact us at info@iluminaire.co.uk or on 07587 906484.
2. By Using This Site
By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Returns Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
3. Products
We sell LED strip lighting, plaster-in downlights, in-ceiling speakers, amplifiers, smart switches, networking accessories, and related components. Product images and colour temperatures are representative — actual appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen and installation environment.
Bespoke items include any custom-cut LED strips, soldered runs, made-to-order wardrobe PIR kits configured through our online configurator, and any networking, AV, or installation services quoted individually.
4. Pricing
- All prices shown on the site are fully inclusive — the price you see is the price you pay.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before dispatching your order — you will be notified and given the option to confirm or cancel.
5. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we send a dispatch confirmation. Until then, we may decline an order without liability — for example, if the product is out of stock or we identify a pricing error.
6. Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards processed via a secure third-party provider. Payment is taken in full at the point of order. We do not store full card details on our servers.
7. Delivery
- Standard UK mainland delivery: 1–3 business days.
- Free delivery on all orders over £200. Below this threshold, a delivery fee is calculated at checkout.
- Highlands & Islands surcharges may apply.
- Bespoke and soldered items: lead times quoted individually, typically 5–10 business days.
8. Returns & Refunds
Our full returns policy is set out in our Returns Policy. Summary:
- Standard items: 14 days from delivery to request a return, item unused and in original packaging.
- Bespoke items: no returns. This includes custom-cut strip, soldered orders, and configured wardrobe PIR kits.
9. Warranty
All LED strip, drivers, controllers, speakers, and amplifiers carry a manufacturer warranty of at least 2 years from the date of delivery, unless stated otherwise on the product page. Warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect installation, mains spikes, or use outside the rated environmental specification.
10. Installation
Plaster-in downlights, ceiling speakers, mains-voltage switching modules, and structured cabling work require professional installation by a qualified electrician or AV installer. We are not liable for damage or injury arising from improper installation by you or third parties.
11. Soldering & Bespoke Services
Our in-house soldering service produces custom-length, pre-terminated strip runs. Bespoke jobs are quoted, accepted, and paid for in advance. Because each run is cut to your dimensions, soldered items are not returnable or refundable except where defective.
12. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the price paid for that order. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
13. Intellectual Property
All website content, including the iLUMINAIRE name and logo, product photography, and copy, is the property of Iluminaire Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, or use it without our written consent.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
